A Heffalump is a type of fictional elephant in the Winnie the Pooh stories by A. A. Milne. Heffalumps are mentioned, but never appear, in Winnie-the-Pooh (1926) and The House at Pooh Corner (1928) and later featured in the animated The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (1988–1991) and Pooh's Heffalump Movie (2005). Physically, they resemble elephants.

In the fifth chapter of Winnie-the-Pooh, Pooh and Piglet attempt bravely to capture a heffalump in a trap. However, no heffalumps are ever caught in their trap, and indeed they never meet a heffalump in the course of the books. The sole actual appearance of heffalumps in the books come as Pooh tries to put himself to sleep: "[H]e tried counting Heffalumps [but] every Heffalump that he counted was making straight for a pot of Pooh's honey ... [and] when the five hundred and eighty-seventh Heffalumps were licking their jaws, and saying to themselves, 'Very good honey this, I don't know when I've tasted better', Pooh could bear it no longer." We learn nothing more about the nature of the beasts in the writings.
In the third chapter of The House at Pooh Corner, Pooh and Piglet fall into a similar trap (it's implied it was the same one) and think that it was made by a Heffalump to catch them. Pooh and Piglet rehearse the conversation they'll have when the Heffalump comes, but Pooh falls asleep and when Piglet hears a voice, he panics and says the wrong thing. He is mortified when the voice turns out to be that of Christopher Robin.

Steam Cabbage Wrap... ^^

So, right before Chinese new year,i had a week to prepare, so what else did I do? I went SHOPPING!!!!!!!!! well, this post isn't about the shopping that I did but it is about what I made...hehe.. Steamed cabbage wrap. yup, I love to wrap stuff...food especially... hehe.. so here it goes~

To start, here are the ingredients you need :

1. Whole cabbage leaves. You can peel it out one by one if just dig out the stem. I peel it one at a time.

After acquiring the leaves, you should boil the leaves to soften them, to ease the wrapping process.

2. The second ingredient is the fillings. you can put in anything you like and want. Its up to you. I put in crabsticks cause my sister loves them.

Another feeling I chose is omelettes...hehe... I love eggs... just fry them and slice them up...

This filling is kind of important... stir fried vegetables... as there are excess cabbage and carrots laying around, I use both of them and stir fried them with a little oil, garlic and salt.

So here is the assembly process.

Lay one leaf on the plate and start plying up your fiilings

Its up to you how much you wanna put in but no to much, you don't want a tear...^^

Assemble your fillings and start wrapping.. there is no technique at this point, so do what you hv to..hehe... you can add any feeling that you want. prawns can be nice...hehe

Here is what it looks like after wrapping...hehe... continue until you run out of stock and them steam them... I steamed them for about 10 minutes.

After 10 minutes, you got nice and juicy cabbage rolls. I used an accompanying sauce.... its normal soy sauce, cooked with sugar...hehe

The verdict was, my mom says its not soft enough. My sister thought I din put in enough salt. Overall, its OK...hehe

so today is the last day of year 2011.... hehe... the year is ending and the new year is coming. i would say that year 2011 is one of the best years so far. I had a blast. I turned 21 and things are looking good. I have wonderful friends and people who really love are appearing in my life. I found friends and i found baby cheetah... hehe... im still going to keep baby cheetah's identity a secret, a mystery. Whether baby cheetah is a boy or girl, whether baby cheetah really exist or not, and so on... but I can tell you one thing, baby cheetah is my best best best best friend after donkey. because, baby cheetah has always been there for me and sometimes, baby cheetah do have mood swings and bad temper, baby cheetah is and will always be my best best best friend and so on...muahaha..... life has been good to me.. I know I complain alot, but, I am grateful for everything I have... so, brace yourself, this is gonna be kind of a looooooonnnnnnngggggg post... ^^

It is my birthday today ( oct 11, mind the date... technical error)..... yay!!!!! hehe... I'm 21.... last weekend, I went back to my hometown and took my family to a buffet dinner at Tragers Hotel, Penang... it was a blast.. there were quite a variety to eat from and at a bargain price. at RM49 nett per person it was superb.... My time as an intern was a rather challenging one. i learned things that are not done in the normal life and school scenario. I meet people who are well seasoned in the business industry and they know what they are doing. The thing is, we don't learn enough and we don't meet enough people. Business is something is unpredictable. It means you determine your destiny. That's life. Decisions in life have to be made, sacrifices are neccessary and forgiving and patience is everything. I learned one thing, never regret. When you regret, you look back in life, and you will not feel happy or contented to everything you own. If you look at tomorrow then you will know that life is not that bad after all, there are people even worse then you are. Always look forward and never look back, you will know what to do and you can and will do it happily.....^^

Today will be the last day of my incubation training programme... and I can say that it is one of the best things I have learned in my life.. I cannot say I don't Hate it, but i kind of learned alot ... I learned how to deal with people, I learned that mom and dad will not always be there for you... things will not always turn out the way we want it... but it was a nice experience.... I wanna say a big thank you to North Borneo Herbal Biotechnology for taking us in and teaching us... Mr Hung, a very talented and brilliant man, took us under his wing and thought us alot... and it was an experience worth everything...^^

So, I'm the master of accidents... yes.. I'm prone to accident and have bruises all over my body.....hehe... yes... laugh with me.... just as I thought things could not get any worse, it did....hehe.... and, i manage to cause big impacts on my body for 3 consecutive days..... good right...hehe....monday was the day everything started.... monday, as I was on the phone with.... ( keep it a secret) I was so excited and giddy...hehe... so after the phone call, I rolled around my bed and as I was about to stand up..... BANG!!!!! I manage to knock my forehad the edge of the study..... as a result, there is a huge bungalow on my forehead.. but it cannot really be seen because I refuse to massage it to desolve the clot blood... then came tuesday...... as I bending to pick up my iPod... BANG!!!!! this time, I hit the back of my head on the table... again..... then came wednesday..... I was chilling around... reading the newspaper.... then suddenly, ding dong, the bell rang.... in a rush,because my family is full with fat a** es that they will take their own sweet time, I open the door of my room and in an attempt to run out, I hit my toe on the door scrapping of skin and allowing blood to flow out.. and as I say, after I open the door, then only one of the fat a**es in my family decided to come out.. and the question I got was, 'got wat to eat?'
you see the mercy shown to me..... nobody knew i hurt my toe until my sister saw me holding tightly on my toe after some time after the accident happen.....!!!!!!!!

so it's been 5 weeks since i started my incubation programme in Tanjung bungah. It is a very eye opening experince. I got to do a very amazing thing yesterday. I got first to meet my very first customer. Of course i did not went alone, I cannot drive.. hehe... I went with my supervisor and of course, my team mate. so we went to hard rock at around 12.15 and it took us about 15 minutes to reach there. then we met the person incharge, Ms. Lenny, she is pretty and very nice to talk to.I learned that customers are interested in all the gugu and gaga about the company, they want to know about the product, what you offer and of course the price. well, by saying that, i think you can briefly guess what the outcome is. she is very interested in the product because she has been looking for 1 that offers the options we do. but, she said the price is to steep and she needed to think it through and talk with her gm and of course, she asked for a lower price and, wow, it is really low... we went back tot he office and of course, the manager already expected this to happen so he taught us how to counter but we need to think very fast for that. and i really hated the the attitude of our general manager because he put it in a way like you are useless and full of crap. i mean the manner he looked at me was dispicable.... yuck... but, i'm still proud of myself and my teamate because we finally get to experience something like that....yay....^^

the steps are very easy.

1- Boil the water together with the sour plum. Once the water has reach a boil, close the cover of the pot and let it cool( in my case, i use the rice cooker, so i just turn of the electricity and let it cool). When you open the cover, u can smell the aroma of the sour plum and the water taste very sweet and a little salty.
2- After the water cool, pour it into a class with the amount of ice you desire, once the drink is cold, start squeezing all the lemon juice into the drink and there you go... a drink to ease the heat....hehe
